A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch the JCSAT 18/Kacific 1 communications satellite jointly owned by SKY Perfect JSAT Corp. of Japan and Kacific Broadband Satellites of Singapore. Built by Boeing, the JCSAT 18/Kacific 1 communications satellite will provide mobile and broadband services across the Asia-Pacific region.

SpaceX will conduct an in-flight abort test that allows Crew Dragon to escape at the moment of maximum aerodynamic drag, by firing the SuperDraco thrusters to carry the spacecraft a safe distance from the rocket.

SpaceX is to launch a Falcon 9 rocket with the primary payload, Anasis 2. Originally known by the designation KMilSatCom 1, is South Korea's first dedicated military communications satellite. Alcatel Space supplied both the multimission satellite, which is built by Airbus Defence and Space.
